The municipalities all over the Sultanate of Oman are endeavouring to implement many vital projects such as wastewater projects, maintenance of public sanitation, food quality and veterinary control, development of main towns through the construction of roads and lighting of streets, building of souqs, parks and laboratories. They are also involved in the delivery of awareness programmes aimed at persuading the public to help protect resources and preserve facilities.
